Level: Max - Cleaning Up Solstheim! - Part 75 - Various - Let's Fail at ESV: Skyrim!
Now let's go do some more jobs around Solstheim!
Go to Kolbjorn Barow you'll find a guy who needs some money to find some "Artifacts" which sounds suspicious, but he needs 1000 septims. Should be easy right? We just need to check with later. He'll send a letter. Unearthed begun!
Now we need to kill time, to White Ridge Barrow!...This place is freaky, and covered in those jumping spiders!
Wait, there's a person...covered in slime...dude there is a spider controlling him! However he fights just like another bandit.
Wait...is that a lady...HOLDING SPIDERS?! Now I lucked out somehow, but Merilar Rendas actually is hard, mostly because she has spells that summon flame cloak and jumping spiders, so be careful!
Huh, I guess that was it, now there is just a few bandits and spiders. So what's the point of this area? In the cage there is a machine that if you put Albino Spiders Pods and certain gems you can make Spider Scrolls (Like the ones we got from Merilar) except with many different abilities. Also keep in mind that Albino Pods are rare, so pick them up while you can.
One of the books mentioned a chanting wall, wonder what that means a Dragon Priest! Right by a Black Book AND a Word Wall! Watch out, Dukaan has a combination between a Fus Ro Dah and Blizzard! And he summons a Seeker! Not to mention wards and a Ice Cloak! And we get another Cyclone Word!
Now! Enter Black Book: The Sallow Regent! Now immediately you should notice, if you are in the dark your health goes down, so use spells like Candlelight to avoid the damage. (IT's the best since the light follows you around. This also makes fights with the Seekers and Lurkers harder since you need to maintain the light.
Now for the reward! Basically you choose one third of skills and they become 10% more effective or cheaper. A hard choice!
Glad we are done with that, let's head back to Veloth, another Lost Knowledge complete! Now to help out Neloth with an experiment, he'll just cast a spell and you go about your day to see how it goes. Experimental Subject!
Now, let's go help out Rieklings, The Chief of Thirsk Hall! Basically he wants you to get a boar back (by luring with meat) get him some herbs, then you help him kill nasty Nords. OR you can just kill the Rieklings like an awesome viking by talking to them first and doing the quest: Retaking Thirsk! Unfortunately, either way they get jealous and try to kill you, except in the Nord verson you don't have to kill the leader.
Let's head back to Raven Rock...Mogrul? What? You want me to pay a debt while acting tough? Well you can kill him, pay him, or threaten him and pay less. New Debt Complete!
Now for some treasure hunting, head to Haknir's Shoal! Head there and you find some treasure hunter, open the chest and you find one of the Deathbrand's Armor, now use our newly acquired map to travel around Solstheim and find the other chests, each of which are guarded by bandits! Deathbrand begun! After getting all the armor head to Gyldenhul where you will mine out a way to get to a boss room, where you find Captain Haknir Deathbrand and have a boss fight! Basically he's a powerful sword fighter, who'll summon other ghosts to fight for him, more are melee but others are ranged and some even magic! Be careful! As a reward you get his armor, which has some cool effects if you have the whole set! Don't forget the treasure on the way out!
Now, let's head onwards to the next one, Glacial Cave! It's a Riekling cave, so expect a fight. And grab the Karstaag Skull from the wall! Then head to a place called Castle Karstaag Ruins! You either can picklock a Master Lock or fight through a nearby Castel Karstaag Caverns full of Rieklings to get through, the Master Lock is easier.
Okay, we made it to the throne room, time for one of the hardest bosses IN THE GAME: Karstaag. Imagine an Ice Giant, who can summon a ginormous frost cloak around him, however it'll stay in 1 place, the size of it is just huge though. Other then that he has tons of health and defense. The Ice Cloak is the worst part though. He's insanely difficult, even at high level, I took him on way too early to be honest, which is why I backed out.
Now for the final task at hand, the Kagrumez Challenges, basically around Skyrim there are these gems used to open doors to challenges, we picked a few up, but there are a couple more. One back in Nchardak, another sold by the Salesman by Tel Mithryn.
Now, for the challenges...Basically large amounts of Dwarven Robots while there are obstacles, like spinning fire, or electric water.
As a prize you get a bow with basically the same concept as Chaos Damage, except it saps Attack/Mana/Stamina instead of different damages...however the bow is weak and you can't take the enchantment off, so it's not near as good. Also the more you get through the challenges you get access to a pet Dwarven Spider and a Dwarven Sphere.
Now, let's focus our uncontrollable rage at Miraak!
