29Note: This drive was a "shot in the dark" repair, there was no intention of escalating to professional data recovery, which is why I'm doing it ghetto-style. This video is also very old now, and I leave it up for interest rather than instruction!
This was part of a data recovery video I was working on. The recovery job was a bust (laptop was a complete wreck) and so the video got thrown out, but I thought I'd export this section just to show the break down of what mechanical drive failure looks and sounds like.
