This mission's title is a throwback to the first game. The protag is stationed aboard the GTD Bastion, and you're tasked with escorting it as it pursues the Lucifer. The Bastion ultimately fails to catch the Lucifer in The Great Hunt, so you are Hail Mary'ed after it with a Good Luck. The same principle behind what saved Sol is used here in sacrificing the Bastion.
