Library of Ruina [Part 34] That's This and This is That [FINAL, ALL ENDINGS]
8Well, that's everything in Ruina over with. Here are some thoughts on the whole journey underneath.
Man, what an experience. I feel both like I wish it was longer and also that it took forever. I feel like I started the game only yesterday, and now that it's over I feel a little empty, yknow? On the other hand, I'm glad it ended because that finale taking as long as it did was starting to drive me insane.
This experience went a LOT smoother than my Lobcorp playthrough. In a lot of ways, I felt it went TOO smoothly even. People were generally a lot more well behaved for this playthrough, so I'm grateful I could enjoy the story with a minimal amount of spoilers fed to me. I really liked the world building in this, and I kinda really wish for another PM game where you get to just see the City residents' day to say. I know Limbus kiiinda scratches that itch but it's not entirely that and I don't know how to really describe why.
I'm really fond of the Sephirah, and it makes me a bit sad that I don't know when I'll see them again since Limbus follows a completely different cast. Not to say I don't enjoy the crew in Limbus, in fact I really love a lot of them, but I guess going from Lobotomy into Ruina I really felt a connection with Angela and the Sephirah. Angela was my favorite day one in Lobotomy Corporation, and she's continued to be one of my favorites alongside Myo, Netzach, and Yi Sang. I'm also very curious about Carmen here at the end. I'm not sure if she became corrupted through all the years of being in the well to where she's distorting people for evil purposes purposefully, or if he is naive to what's shes going. I'm a little sad Angela wasn't able to become human in the end, but I hope she gets to experience as many things on her list as she's able to with Roland and the Librarians. Angelas a sweet girl deep down, and I want nothing but her happiness, though I know that's hard to attain in this world haha.
This game could be really hard for my brain to process, and I know there were many times I felt way too upset and got way too tilted but tbh, compared to my frustrations during Lobcorps Day 49 this is nothing LOL. I really enjoy building card decks and I think my one regret with this playthrough is not really getting a chance to play around as much with them on stream since I stuck with decks chat gave me for the most part, though I stubbornly stuck with my Xiao build despite people telling me to make her into a smoke build instead lol.
It feels like, even though Limbus is ongoing, this is like, the end of my PM playthroughs and it makes me both happy and scared. I feel like PM content will never end but at the same time this feels like the end with the finale of Ruina. Well, what's next for me and PM? I stream Limbus when updates come out to the stories but never uploaded my playthroughs of the Cantos so starting with Oblivion I'll be uploading from Canto VII onwards. I'm also starting a series of reading Distortion Detective every week as well with the first 9 chapters already streamed that'll come up here sometime soon. I also have a playthrough of some Ruina mods to look forward to as well. Once DD is done I'll probably do Leviathan too unless we get another WonderLab situation while I'm doing these series'. But I guess that'll be it for now, until PM maybe makes another game other than Limbus but uh. I don't think that'll happen for awhile. I'm also waiting on a custom Ruina sprite of my Vtuber for a mod to be done, so I'll be sure to make a little video here when that's done.
I know a ton of people followed me purely for Lobotomy and Ruina and in that way, I'm scared of the future. But I know not everyones gonna follow me for myself, so if you followed along for Ruina and decide to stop taking this path with me here; Thank you for all your support. I hope you enjoyed me bumbling my way through Ruina, through my dumb moments, through my tactical moments, and through my "how the fuck did he do that first try?" moments. I'm getting close to running out on my character limit and I feel if I started yapping again It'd have to be cut off momentarily, so for now, I'll be signing off here.
