I love this story line. It's really fun to see the journey Yan goes on to find his free will only to find that his fate has been tied to the prescripts seemingly from the moment he started taking them. His credenza reading is particularly brutal and explains why he dislikes the cruelty of the prescripts.

In terms of the actual boss fight: I don't think this is a particularly hard boss battle and it was actually a lot harder when it first released back in the day. Compared to back then, Distorted Yan has been nerfed pretty hard. Like I demonstrated in the video, using Nikolai's Disposal to get rid of all the counter block dice is your best bet for getting as much damage in as fast as possible. After Yan enters his defense stance you get 2 turns (it used to be 1 I believe) before the hands come back and you have to deal with them again. The problem when that happens is that Yan will start using his mass attack (Distorted Blade) a lot more so you end up being in a damage rush. Hope this helps!
