In this chapter, Sean and Daniel learn from Karen that the police might be on their trail just as they take the time to relax in their quiet little asylum in the middle of the Arizona desert, which means that, despite Sean having finally made peace with his mother, the brothers have little choice but to push on forward. With Karen promising to hold off the cops for as long as possible, and David Madsen providing a litte technical assistance by presenting Sean with an actual police scanner, the "Wolves" bid their final goodbyes to all the dwellers of the little commune... and prepare to make it past the finish line at any cost, be it dead or alive.
