1. The best time to have sought help for yourself was yesterday. The second best time to seek help for yourself is today. Don’t wait, be proactive
2. You are not broken or fractured. You are whole. We are all inherently whole and worthy. It is about how much harmony or disharmony your internal system is in.
3. Trauma is not about what happened to you, it is about what happens inside of you in the absence of an empathetic witness. A lot more people are carrying burdens and wounds from their past that they might not even recognise as trauma.
4. When you deny, reject or repress parts of yourself, they don’t just disappear. They will show up in unconscious ways as sudden impulses or ‘uncontrollable’ behaviours.
5. Healing is possible when we begin the process of meeting all of our parts with curiosity, compassion and understanding.
6. If we truly wish to live fully, or experience life to its fullest, we first need to get to know and love all our parts for what they are, and not abandon any of them. Self-abandonment is so common in our world that is constantly trying to make us fit into a box. Stop abandoning your self or parts of yourself.
