Life Onboard The Lunskoye-A Floating Offshore Platform
The Lunskoye-A platform (LUN-A) is Russia's first offshore gas production platform and the main gas producer of the Sakhalin-2 project. It is located 15 km offshore the north-eastern coast of Sakhalin Island in the Lunskoye field, where gas production began in 2008. It has production capacity over 50 million cubic meters of natural gas, around 50,000 barrels per day (7,900 m³/d) of peak liquids (associated water and condensate), and 16,000 barrels per day (2,500 m³/d) of oil.
