My Description:

This Let's Play of "Ys: The Oath in Felghana" is on Nightmare difficulty, albeit with higher levels and/or equipment than time attack conditions. Unlike previous Ys let's plays, I voiced over successful boss attempts because of the concentration required to win, meaning I can't come up with commentary on the fly. The videos will also show my first attempt for every boss, just to show how much I improved from my first attempt to my successful attempt.

When redheaded thrill-seeker Adol Christin and his eternal blue-haired companion Dogi make an unannounced visit to Dogi's homeland of Felghana after an eight-year absence, it quickly becomes apparent that things have changed dramatically. Hordes of violent monsters roam the outskirts of town, a long-dormant volcano has suddenly sprung back to life and the new lord of the land has begun mercilessly and inexplicably extorting money from its long-suffering citizens. Time to climb Elderm Mountains, where we can find the final statue. We can also collect Berm Leaves for the pikkards, though one of them requires either fire or earth magic to obtain.

[ 27:26 ] Boss: Ligaty, The Three Flying Succubi

I managed to win on the first try because I had the full banded set. Even then, I didn't do the best job of trying to kill the succubi simultaneously. All the succubi have their own weaknesses according to their color, and you'll have to switch your tactics as you try to damage them equally. If you can't kill them at the same time, try to save the red one for last, since you can use long-range fireballs to whittle her down.

Afterwards, save and talk to Berhardt in his cabin a few screens ahead. You still have a ways to go before you can find the statue of this mountain.
