The New World team has HUGE plans for the upcoming patch/PTR. In the most recent Forged in Aeternum Q&A for January 2023, they discussed a bunch of upcoming things that we can expect in the MMO in the next update as well as 2023 in general. There will be changes to armor weight/equip load, so light armor, medium armor and heavy armor, affecting perks like Resilient and Shirking fortification. We can also expect to see changes to Musket and Greatsword, likely nerfs. For PvE, ranged and elemental weapons will also be receiving buffs via stronger bane perks.
