Continuing from the VHS tapes I recorded 20 years ago. This is from the third VHS tape. This is Lightening Force (Known in other regions as Thunder Force IV).

I played this on Maniac Difficulty, though I used the 99 lives glitch. I've beaten this game normally on Normal, but I think the Maniac ending music is the best. The ending text is all the same, the only thing that changes between difficulty levels is the music that plays during the first part of the ending.

Im my honest opinion, this game was the best Shmup on the Genesis, and the best Shump of the 16-bit era. It's also one of the top 5 Shumps of all time.

M2 did a fantastic port on the Nintendo Switch. Pick it up if you have anmy love for this genre.
