Revenge of Shinobi - Video Volume I part X (Let's Play Rewind)
0As a continuing project of video capturing recordings I'd done on VHS tapes 20 years ago. This is an easy playthrough (with infinite shuriken) of The Revenge of Shinobi for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive.
Like the recording of Golden Axe, this version is the one that was included on the classics disc that came with the Sega CD.
A few notes: This is the game that made me want a Sega Genesis, just the screen shots of it made me super excited for it. RoS remains one of my most favorite games of all time for all systems...easily in my personal top 3.
Honestly, the platforming is, in general, more difficult then the combat. I have beaten this game on the hardest difficulty,though I've never beaten it on just a single life, because I never really learned a good method of dealing with the godzilla boss of level 7...I usually blow myself up 3 times and be done with it. One my Very difficult runs, I've generally earned enough extra lives that that process is viable.
Finally, this was the last game on Video Volume I. It looks like I had intended to put something els on there, but never found something that would fit in the remaining 50 minutes or so on the VHS tape. So I'll be starting Video Volume II in the near future.
