Lightning Minerals ramps up activity at Mt Turner Gold Project
3Lightning Minerals is ramping up activity at its Mt Turner Gold Project in Queensland, with site works already underway ahead of a 1,000-metre drilling campaign set to begin in the next two months.
This move follows Lightning’s proposed acquisition of Lotus Minerals — a deal that brings advanced-stage gold and copper assets into the portfolio. While the acquisition is still subject to final approvals, early exploration at Mt Turner is progressing through a funding agreement with Lotus.
Lightning Minerals’ Managing Director Alex Biggs said: "With strong targets and excellent previous results we are confident that this is the beginning of a strong period for the Company. With gold at near all-time highs now is the opportunity to make a discovery."
Soil sampling is also set to kick off this week, and Lightning Minerals is expected to provide further updates following its EGM — and as drilling begins at Mt Turner.
