I'm well aware how unoptimal the speed was, but you get the idea
I'm also fairly well aware how common the strategy is, but regardless the setup looks like this:

1 Schemata has 100% Magic Resistance (achieved through a 15% magic resistance garb, the -100% Str+Mag +75% magic resistance Accessory and a +10-15% Ring slot) and equip it with Ruin, Guard and 2 Placeholder Stagger-Raising Spells. Any weapon is okay really since your Str and Mag is capped at 5.
2nd Schemata is your main damage/stagger stabilizer. I pretty much used Cloud's outfit for the entire game and never switched out of it since how awesome I found Slayer to be. Fairly certain it isn't optimal or anything due to how slow it is. You can pretty much use any sort of aggressive garb. Just have Ruin and a few useful debuffs (since this will be your schemata to Chuck away ATB while you wait for your Main mage one)
3rd Schemata is your Magic-based stagger one. You'll want Caius' Sword for its 75% quick stagger and have Tier 2 Elemental Spells (___-Ra spells) If you've made/synthesised your own better -Ra spells you can use any magic garb really. Also having Deprotect and Imperil helps out your final DPS significantly. Youll also want the Ring accessory with 100% protection against Fog

Note that I didn't use anything expensive or any super-lategame equipment. All weapons/accessories can be found through quests and Last Ones, and I only bought the +30ATB shield from the Wildlands.
You can get all your Ether from pretty much finishing every Canvas of Prayers, and Appraising Unappraised Items, or trading in tonnes of Soul Seeds at once.

The rest is self-explanitory. Get as many Perfectly-Timed attacks as you can, switch to your Undamaging Schemata whenever you see Aeronite attack (Note that if he uses a Blizza- Spell, you can continue to attack him for a fair while before switching out since its travel time takes a while) and make sure you fire enough elemental spells at him or else he gets bored and ditches you clean
