Tifa Lockhart is a major recurring character in the Final Fantasy VII series. She is a playable character in Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VII Remake, the main protagonist of the novel Final Fantasy VII Remake Trace of Two Pasts, and also plays a supportive role in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII, and Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. She is a friend of Cloud Strife, and a member of the resistance group Avalanche.

Lightning, born Claire Farron, is the main protagonist of Final Fantasy XIII and the central character of the Lightning Saga. She is the narrator and a temporary playable character in Final Fantasy XIII-2 and returns as the protagonist and only directly playable character in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII.
