The pacing of this book is off. I mean way off.
The story picks up one chapter then falls off for the rest, this chapter too felt that way.
I dunno if jun is the real killer but if he's not it feels like we are chasing a bunch on nothing leads on the real murder whatsoever.
Also the steve diamond scene was so not worth it. I hoped we could find why Jun was dishonourably discharged but nope.
Yes Jun has violent tendencies but the emotion the guy showed towards his new employer felt genuine. even in the prequel the concerns were real so i don't think he could be the killer. besides what motive he could have??? money isn't an issue as he was paid triple the amount steve used to pay him. Nick was respectful and kind towards him so employer behaviour ain't a motive either. What's missing??
Chapter 14 and we have no idea on who the killer maybe other than if we go by the elimination of suspects and their persona route, also the li plot armor, then it all points to pete being the one who killed nick.
which could also explain the jammer device in the electrical board that was put to monitor all the smart home devices in nick's house. Besides he has a motive of killing nick cause nick was interfering with the business decisions and the route the company wanted to take.
