They only use magic attacks as far as I'm aware, so a garb setup for magic immunity (100% magic resistance) makes it easy. Just switch back into it whenever an attack is incoming.

You *could* try to stagger it, but I find as soon as I'm about to, Arcangel performs Spirit Unleashed, which resets the stagger wave. Best thing to do is just deprotect and stab it to death outright. Same strategy for the rest of the Arcangels, those ones will be faster to take down.
