Turn on a freshly bought 3DS the first time, and this is what you see: Learn about the 3D feature, set up your user profile, configure the network and enable parental controls. And finally, welcome to the HOME Menu!

With Mikage, it's no different: Open a new install of the emulator and you'll be greeted by the very same screens as on the real 3DS! For the first time in emulation history, this initial setup process is emulated in all its facets at interactive performance. This marks yet another cornerstone in Mikage's mission to preserve the full console experience including games and everything beyond.

We'll discuss further details about the technical problems we solved over the past few months to enable all of this on our website. And of course, we also can't wait to show more footage of the system *after* initial setup 😉
