Link - Melee Event 51 The Showdown (No stock loss)
79Link is surprisingly good at the Showdown, if only because his down aerial is ridiculously good here. With it, Link can keep bouncing on Giga Bowser, which Link can utilise to safely escape to the other side and avoid being cornered. While Link does that, down aerial racks up ridiculous damage (and can even combo Giga Bowser directly into up aerial at low to mid percents, which then combos Giga Bowser into more down aerial bouncing), and is of course a kill move above 100%. Link is additionally one of the few characters that can actually edge-guard Giga Bowser well with that Spin Attack. Most of Link's other attributes don't conduct well to fighting Giga Bowser, but down aerial and Spin Attack are so good here Link can contend well with Giga Bowser anyway.
When it comes to the 2 on 1, Link has no problems, with that big sword and projectiles, and the fact he can just jump above and then down aerial while Ganon and Mewtwo just take it most of the time.
The lack of c-stick was especially annoying with Link though.
