Link's Awakening - Part 7: The Power of Color
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening
Now that we've rattled a building to read a book, let's exploit the subject of the book! You might think that it makes no sense because the game is already in color, but then you would be missing the fact that I'm playing a remake for the Game Boy Color. The original Game Boy's dot matrix display was only able to show four shades of the same color: Off, low power, high power, and full power. The more power applied, the darker the dot, so functionally, black and white. Hard to believe that the thing had more processing power than an NES, isn't it? The color difference is also significant to the game's storyline, but revealing that significance is a big spoiler, so I'm not telling yet! Yell at me if I forget at the end of the game.
