[Linux SteamDeck]The Division performance / battery FSR ON
I cant put into words what I feel about the SteamDeck: awesome awesome awesome !! You pick it up, boot it and launch your game, everywhere you are. They are using an XWayland session for the game, with Gamescope, so its not just a "big picture" steam client, but an own instance manager running. That has lots of advantages, like those on the go sliders to adjust your power preferences and a lot of stability. Does even feel very console-like.
In the video there is a remote play overhead of +1-2 Watts and -5 fps. With FSR ON you can bring up battery life. I just tested it shortly, cause its streaming on the unresized root resolution. Basically I can run AAA games at around 20 - 30 fps for 10-13 Watts, resulting in 3:30 to 4 hours gametime. What is mere awesome. The system idles at around 6-7 Watts, while the APU works between 4-15 Watts TDP, meaning you range on a total from 10 - 25 Watts. For battery life, medium performance is in order, otherwise it works good on high settings. It's an incredible piece of hardware AMD build there.
I am totally flabbergasted. If you want a game to be tested, leave a comment, I will do it, if I have it.
