Linux version of ARK is broken again after 06/2020 update. How to fix it?

ARK started on Epic Games Store and celebrated fifth birthday these days (06/2020). Linux players got the shitty surprise from the devs though, because this last update broke the game again. After the update the DLC map files and folders are in wrong location and you need to copy them to correct folder path, or create a link to these files in correct location.

As I think devs won't repair it soon, I prefer to symbolic link to the location where the game downloads the folders/files. See the vid to find out how to do it. The important part is the command use:


ln -s [path_to_target] [link_name]


or if you do not perform it in the folder where the link shoud be located:


ln -s [path_to_target] [path_to_link/link_name]
