LISA the Painful is a turn-based RPG, possibly inspired by Earthbound. It started as a relatively humble kickstarter project but the final product got quickly noticed through its bizarre humour, twisted and savage post-apocalyptic setting and unorthodox gameplay ideas.
Here's the fight against the secret super-boss Satan (aka Mike). You must have found the keys to his truck to reach him. Anyway, he possesses a whopping 80,000 hitpoints which would be a chore to deplete through conventional means. Satan is quite vulnerable to a lot of ailments and the trick is to inflict as many as possible. That's a job for Fly and Bo in this video. One of the best to land is "Scared", which will make Satan skip his turn a lot of the time. The other important one is "Poison". Poison in LISA the Painful works in that it always deducts 10% of the foe's starting hitpoints at the end of a turn. While that will not be worth bothering with against small encounters, it is golden against this super-boss. 8.000 per turn exceeds the power of most attacks, so that's why Fly is so busy puking here for almost every round. He's my source of poison, there may be others you can use. Armless Brad and Tiger are used as typical damage dealers buffed with Joy to speed up the fight.
You do want to be done quickly here, not because of the damage output of Satan which is only moderate. As many other bosses in LISA the Painful, there is a lethal and permadeath-inflicting attack in his repertoire, "Head Chop". There is no method to avoiding this, it'll randomly happen or it won't. Near the end of the video, you'll see a strange skip back into the battle. That was originally announced through the annotations and was meant just to show off this frustrating attack. Fighting Satan is always a gamble because of this. On the other hand, there is no reason to reload your file if you're not happy with losing party members. You should have done everything except Brad's solo-finale and there is no greater challenge anywhere else in this title (save DLC, which the outcome of this fight does not affect).
