Lisa is an associate of the Social Innovation Generation program at MaRS. The program enables social entrepreneurs to access resources that help them combine economic profit with social purpose.  As part of SiG@MaRS, Lisa launched Net Change, a weeklong event, co-created with several partners, which explores the intersection of social tech and social change.  Lisas activities range from strategy work to speaking engagements, most recently for CP24 and OReillys Ignite series. Previously, Lisa worked as an account executive at Toronto-based social marketing agency Manifest Communications, and prior to that had the pleasure of being employed at the J.W. McConnell Family Foundation over three years, while she was studying at McGill University. She graduated with Honors from McGill with a B.A in Cultural Studies and honed her tendency towards non-linearity with the mix of three minors: Art History, Environment and World Religions. Lisa is actively involved in the arts and the broader Toronto community, most recently with the Luminato Festival and Drawn to Develop, a fundraiser for Street Kids International. She has been on the planning committee for the Couchiching Institute on Public Affairs and the Youth Policy Alternatives Campaign. Among her many accomplishments are memberships with the Emerging Leaders Network and the Golden Key International Honour Society as well as being the recipient of a Canada Millennium Scholarship. She is generally a big advocate for a go big or go home mentality and outdoor adventure, more specifically.
