HG Wells the Sci Fi Author wrote a wargame book in 1913 that inspired Gary Gygax to create and write the Wargame Chainmail in 1972 which laid the foundation for Dungeons & Dragons. Today is the 50th anniversary of the of the 'release of Original Dungeon & Dragons.

This is a light hearted cause play as both HG Wells and Mr Gygax would have enjoyed playing during their time, though I am using more modern equipment with JRR Tolkien Books and larger D&D books instead of encyclopedia and Nurf-Guns vs the 4.7 or Firecrackers of their time.
