Part 17 – Defeat the Heartless OD-10
We finish up our time in the Distant Future. Remember, this entire chapter is story driven. However, there is one exception.
At this point, the Behemoth is freed from captivity and is out for blood. If it catches you, it's an instant game over. So if you encounter it, run and reach a safe location. Trust me, it'll help. Eventually you'll have to work with the rest of the crew to not only stop the Behemoth but also find out who's responsible. Turns out it was none other than the ship's artificial intelligence, OD-10. Notice something familiar? Yep. OD-10 is another incarnation of Odio, the last one. Plus it's like HAL from 2001: A Space Odyssey.
Eventually you'll have a showdown against OD-10 inside the game console. Taking that menace down is bloody easy. Go to the bottom left or bottom right and use Cube's Maser Cannon. That's it. Once OD-10 goes down, the rest of his support units go with it. That's it.
After that fight, the AI returns to normal and we find that the general guy survived. He's also softened up since he seems to have a disdain for robots. He was in a war where robots were the enemy. Is that a Terminator reference? Anyway, we serve him his coffee and that takes care of the Distant Future chapter.
So what next huh? What next? Well with all seven stories complete, we unlock an eighth story. This one is just as important as it will soon tie everything together. Part 18 begins the Tale of Oersted the Knight.
