Guess what! I managed to RNG manipulate a TID and SID on my Sapphire cartrige that gives me good IV modest square shinies! Every single shiny I've RNG manipulated so far were exclusively star shinies. Let's hunt for those square ones!

Some of you might ask yourselves: What exactly is a square shiny? The specific distinction between star and square shinies got introduced in Pokémon Sword and Shield. Usually, when a shiny gets sent out, it sparkles with little stars showing. Square shinies, like the name suggests, show little squares when they sparkle. Please note that this is not visible in Pokémon Sapphire (or any other game before generation 8). It will be visible however if you transfer these Pokémon upwards to Pokémon Sword and Shield. For those of you who really want to know the specifics: The game determines shininess via PID (after generation 2). To put it simply, the game does an XOR calculation, if the result is less than 8, the Pokémon is shiny, and if the result is exactly 0, the Pokémon will be a square shiny.

Due to this being an RNG Manipulation hunt, it's not the usual process of soft resetting until I get lucky. I deduced my trainer ID and secret ID mathematically by using the guide found on smogon's website. This means that should I input these values into a RNG program like Pokéfinder, I am able to guess with absolute precision what kind of Pokémon will be generated on each frame.

No Action Replay or any other cheating software is used. The only software used are the complementary help tools (Eontimer, RNG Reporter and Pokéfinder).

The streaming software used is OBS. I record footage using a Dazzle.
