Lode Runner was originally developed for the Apple II by Doug Neubauer in 1983.
Kurt Olsen "simply" patched it to run on the Lynx. It is likely the very first 'homebrew' game on Atari Lynx.
Olsen did make some changes to the game, such as adding new levels and music, but the core gameplay and mechanics are essentially the same as in the Apple II version.
