Logan Comment Subscribing Hijacking Hoax Explained
Logan/Comment/Subscribing Hijacking Hoax mega thread
You cannot get your account hacked by simply commenting or subscribing. To be hacked, you need to provide your login credentials (email/password) or provide physical access to a logged in device.
To change a password, you need the current password, so simply having access to an account isn't enough to be hacked and locked out.
Commenting or subscribing provides neither your email or password. However, clicking links and logging into fake YouTube sites does.
Edit: clarifying some more. Yes, channels are getting hacked - most of these are from people giving away their passwords on phishing emails or are listed in a list of stolen credentials.
