Logging Scuba Dives [Why is it IMPORTANT]

Are You logging your scuba dives?
Lets look at why logging scuba dives is important and how to do it correctly:
——————————————
In this video we look at why a dive-log-book is an important item for every scuba diver to have and why logging Your dives, makes quite a bit of sense.
We will look at the different types of #loogbooks and what the relevant aspects to be logged after a #dive are.
Confirmation of experience: One reasons to log a dive are proving that dives have been carried out, by having them stamped and signed by a verified professional or #divecenter, which is necessary for those who want to progress with pro training such as #divemaster or above. Also certain locations wont allow You to access the water, unless You can prove a certain number of dives.
Equipment requirements / reference: Making notes about equipment configurations, especially concerning weight, is imperative and will help You to figure out how much weight You need in a given environment with a certain configuration.
Skill Improvement / Review: Writing down what happened during a dive by making notes about it will help us to review the dive and its specifics, as well as the way we responded to them, ultimately making us better divers.
Memory: Remembering the anecdotes of a dive, flora and fauna we saw, as well as the people we dove with. What´s best than going back to it in twenty years and bringing those memories back.
As a note, even though it may make a difference if somebody has 50 or 500 dives on paper, the number of dives a diver has, should not be a way to profile oneself or considering oneself better as others. Diving is not about competition but about improvement and respect and as a matter of fact, there are plenty of divers with hundreds of dives on paper, which in the water look worst than somebody with far less experience. ;-)
