So the biggest change between the Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum and G502 Proteus Core is the RGB colors customization. You have up to 16.8 million colors to choose when customizing the lighting effects of your device. I'm sure they made some other internal improvements, but to be honest, the Proteus Core was already one heck of a great mouse so there really isn't much left to improve upon (Kudos to the Logitech folks for making another amazing device).

The G502 Spectrum software includes a very user friendly interface for all your customization needs.

Things you can do with you Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum Gaming Mouse:
1) Add up to five 3.6g weights to the bottom of the mouse

2) Edit 11 buttons to any remapped key or command you'd like

3) Program macros

4) Change pointer sensitivity down to 200 DPI

5) Create up to 3 different profiles with different settings (key if you play lots of games)

6) Use on board memory for storing mouse profiles or select automatic game detection

7) COLORS - 16.8 million to choose from to customize the lookd of your Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum Gaming Mouse's Logo and DPI

8) Various lighting effects

9) Tune the mouse per 3 different surface settings, G240 Cloth Gaming Mouse Pad, G440 Hard Gaming Mouse Pad, or factory default for standard mouse pads (I use a large Team EG mouse pad by Steel Series)
