I finally bit the bullet and went and learned Hwei.
Turns out Hwei is actually just mage Aphelios on crack cuz you can choose when you want to use your different "spikes" unlike Aphelios. He's super fun to learn and play and WW is actually so OP in many situations. QW is satisfying as hell to land too but it's also pretty hard to hit when the enemy is expecting it and actively trying to dodge (like Karthus Q).
