This is the longplay of Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble !, or Super Donkey Kong Country 3 in Japan, an action and platform game released for Super Nintendo in 1996, being released in November in the United States and Japan and in December in Europe.

Once again, Donkey Kong is absent as a playable character. This time, it's up to Dixie and Kiddy Kong, her baby cousin, to look for Donkey and Diddy who disappeared on an expedition to the Northern Kremisphere. The two protagonists of the first game in the series had gone on a trip to celebrate the victory against King K. Rool in DKC2, but did not return, as they were kidnapped by the mysterious Kaos. Without bananas and heroes, the young pair of cousins ​​Kong then have the task of saving the day.

Dixie has her gameplay unchanged, being able to use her hair to pick up barrels or glide as long as she wants in the air, while Kiddy Kong is a baby who inherited many of Donkey Kong's skills, besides having great physical strength and being able to bounce on water surface to make bigger and longer jumps.

The game has a slightly more free map than previous games and it is possible to navigate the game with vehicles. In this game, the Funky Kong character is more prominent, since he builds the vehicles that the playable characters will use during the adventure.

Animals make a difference too, being essential. The novelty among animals is Ellie the Elephant, which can suck barrels to throw them or also suck water at enemies, just remember that she is afraid of mice, then we have the fish Nibbla, which despite being an ally, for a long time without devouring enemies he can attack our heroes and the other new animal is Parry, a "parallel bird" that flies under the characters and can pick up items. Other important factors in the story are the Banana Birds, sacred birds that are trapped in caves (where it is necessary to solve a puzzle similar to the game Genius) and need to be reunited to free the Queen Banana Bird.

Donkey Kong Country 3 is an excellent game, just like its predecessors, but unfortunately it is quite underestimated, as it was released in 1996 (already when the 16-bit era was losing strength) and also the soundtrack was considered uninspired by the players , although there are some cool songs like Stilt Village and Rockface Rumble. The Rocket Rush stage also had a problem: it does not have the letter G in the American version, only in the Japanese and European. Even with its problems, DKC3 is an incredible game that deserves to be played and explored.
