Longtime F-Zero fan's observations of Aero GPX (Demo)
Now that the Aero GPX demo is out, I've decided to take a somewhat closer look and list some observations about Aero GPX's gameplay itself, while referencing F-Zero X and GX.
Extra things missed:
-There doesn't seem to be any hazards such as Slip Zones, Rough Zones, or Land mines, but as it stands the gameplay is solid enough without them. They may even be in conflict with the game being about high speed, and highly aggressive combat.
-No Top 6 or Minimap. This is a Demo and placeholders are in use. So, not expecting anything like a blockbuster here. That said, while the Top 6 could be doable in the final game, the map may either be a bit much to some players or may clutter up the right side of the screen. (Just a guess).
-You can't run through wreckage. It does reinforce that there's consequences to pulling a Pico in these races.
This video was actually a bit tough to make because it was taking up what precious little space I had left. But it could be agreed that it feels like now that the F-Zero Famine is as good as over.
