Welcome back to my Pokemon Y Nuzlocke! In this episode, we're back in Lumiose City, because Lysandre has dropped any tiny notion of subtlety he might've had and revealed that he's the leader of Team Flare! On top of that, he and his goons plan to revive an ancient superweapon, and kill everyone that isn't part of Team Flare, in order to create " a beautiful world". Yup -- AN ACTUAL GENOCIDE PLOT. And here you thought this game was nothing but catching a bunch of superpowered animals and beating up your neighbors.

But we can't get to any of that shit until we make our way through the winding labyrinth that is Lysandre Laps, hidden behind a bookshelf in Lysandre Cafe in Lumiose City. Which means it's time for everyone's OTHER favorite ridiculous obstacle in a Pokemon game -- FLOOR TILES!! Lysandre has set up a series of floor tiles, in addition to a few warp tiles, to make sure that getting the elevator key to reach him in the basement of Lysandre Labs is as annoying and difficult as humanly possible.

Truly, he is the greatest villain for that reason alone.

*** NUZLOCKE RULES ***

▶. You may only capture the first Pokemon that you encounter in each new area you explore. If it faints or flees, you get no second chances and cannot catch anything in that area.

(Exceptions will be made in the form of the Shiny Clause and the Duplicate Clause.)

▶ To increase the emotional attachment to your Pokemon, everything you catch or obtain must be nicknamed.

▶ If it faints, it dies. All "dead" Pokemon must be either immediately released or placed into a "Graveyard" box in the PC.

▶ If you run out of usable Pokemon, it's game over, and the Nuzlocke will end.

(For me, "usable Pokemon" will include those in the party and the PC, so as long as I have living Pokemon to withdraw in the PC, the Nuzlocke continues until I absolutely run out of Pokemon to use.)
