My next Indie playthrough series will feature the game Loot Hero DX! This game released on the Xbox One and Xbox Series family of consoles on January 15th, 2021. It was developed by VaragtP Studios & published by Ratalaika Games.

In this video, the unnamed hero begins his quest to slay the legendary dragon & save the world.

Loot Hero DX is a little hard to describe as it's probably one of the most simple, but unique games I have ever played. It's essentially a very short 2D, side scroller with RPG elements. There isn't much to the story here other than the game letting you know that the world is in danger due to the ferocious and legendary dragon that is terrorizing the lands while also spawning/resurrecting all of the other monsters/creatures that roam the world. The knight is called upon to rid the world of these creatures and the dragon so that peace can be restored.

The controls are probably the simplest in any game I have ever played (especially a game with RPG elements). The only action you take in the game is running left and right into enemies to defeat them while gaining experience & collecting loot (in the form of coins and gems) that they drop. It's really that simple. The game features total of 9 levels with different enemies & boss at the end of each level. The core element of the game revolves around killing enemies, gaining the coins/XP and using the coins to level up the knight's attack, critical chance, defense and speed (while the XP and the knight's level dictates how far you can upgrade those stats). These upgrades allow you to defeat the higher tier enemies and progress through the game. This gameplay loop essentially requires the player to either replay levels to gain XP and loot to be able to level up the stats (or just run back and forth in various levels as the creatures respawn as you move through the different checkpoints within each level.

As far as the achievements are concerned: the game includes a total of 12 achievements which add up to 1000 GS and this probably one of the shortest/easiest games out there to 100% (it will probably take 15 to 30 minutes to obtain all of the achievements). The "hardest" achievement would probably be the one that requires you to beat a level in under 15 seconds, however, you will quickly notice that this is actually REALLY EASY as once you get to a certain point you can just plow through one of the earliest levels within 5 to 10 seconds. All of the other achievements are easily obtainable simply by playing through the game.

With that being said, here is the full list of achievements:

1. Clear the Woods, the Swamp, the Jungle, the Dark Forest and the Volcano Levels (5 achievements in total)
2. Buy an upgrade/buy one of each upgrade (2 achievements in total)
3. Get one upgrade medal
4. Defeat 100/1000 enemies (2 achievements in total)
5. Collect 1000 worth of loot
6. Beat a level in under 15 seconds
