The Lord of the Rings War in the North is a game that takes place as a parallel storyline to the films and book. Our story begins as three companions, a ranger, an elf and a dwarf make their way to the Prancing Pony in a town called Bree to meet with a ranger by the name of Aargorn. They tell of a terrible battle with Ringwraiths that destroyed most of their companies. Aargorn tasks them with continuing their battle in the North and finding the leader of the wraiths, thus keeping the focus away from the Shire and the young man Frodo who shoulders a "terrible burden".
