Final Fantasy Mystic Quest is the "easy mode" of JRPGs. The game is heavily designed around people who have never played an RPG, let alone a JRPG. It's pretty easy, even if you struggle on certain segments of the game, a lot of the system is designed to help you succeed, with the only real difficulty coming from status effects in battle. With that said, there are some decent mechanics built into the game that make it fun and interesting, like the different ways of using your weapons. The music and audio is pretty top notch. The graphics are technically not bad (especially enemy sprites), however the level design is very simple, while the general pallets are basic, and the world map is the worst effected by this as you simply select a level to visit, rather than for exploring (which takes away from world building). It's not the best game I've played on the SNES so far; however, it still can be an entertaining game.
