Crystite, a form of pure energy discovered on our first voyages into the universe, has caused humanity to accidentally destroy its civilization due to a failed faster than light jump. Youngblood details the protective presence of Arclight, the shipped that failed the jump. From this location in Brazil humanity has to combat the Melding, an energy that is poisoning the Earth. Youngblood continues by elaborating on how the Melding will be combated, opening further content and the point to PvP when humanity should be joining together against a common enemy. Of note is Scott's not so subtle way of deflecting questions he would have loved to answer.
