This was a demonstration to show how raw damage is not AS important as it used to be in newly released raids in Lost Ark in the west. Because of power creep (both in classes and itemization) and raid nerfs, in fact, raids like Kakul-Saydon can be completed with as little as one engraving if you know the fight well enough and your uptime is high. These restrictions were placed on us for this run:

- Only 1x Lv. 3 engraving or an equivalent set-up. The Gunlancer was allowed an exception and had a Lv. 2 + 2x Lv. 1 engravings.
- Only Lv. 5 gems max.
- Only defensive cards or Lostwind Cliff card set (+7% Crit Chance)
- All items must be +19 and item level must be 1475
- Weapon quality cannot be above 70
- Only Lv. 1 set bonuses allowed
- Only the Bard can attack the boss in Bingo. All DPS must just play bingo without attacking.

Additionally, Lustboy missed the Sidereal in Gate 1 on purpose for fun. We used it in Gate 2 but didn't need it, as we were so far ahead of the timer. Gate 3 we didn't use it, but in Bingo we did use Inanna because Lustboy got rubberbanded into a stun when placing the bingo bomb.

There were no restrictions on tripods. Our strongest DPS, the Scrapper, had full level 5 tripods. The Artillerist had 7x Lv. 5 tripods. The Gunlancer had 2x Lv. 5 tripods. The Bard had 7x Lv. 5 tripods.

This video's purpose is to encourage western mindsets to not copy what criteria we asked for raiders when the raids released for us in Korea. Players in Korea would ask for over-spec because we had to solve mechanics, didn't know the fight, and were generally much weaker at the time of. You can accept the guy who is only 4x3, or only has core Lv. 7 gems while the rest might be lacking. You don't have to pay 500,000 gold to itemize in 5x3 to clear today's raids. Higher DPS helps but it's not the be-all-end-all and many parties that I saw failing for hours dealt so much damage that they pushed mechanics faster than they were prepared to handle them.

Also, I never said Gunlancer was bad in Kakul-Saydon. I said it was bad in Inferno difficulty Kakul-Saydon! So one of the party members was a Blue Gunlancer to solidify this point.

I asked that for a comfortable clear, with plenty of headroom on the enrage timer, you should be able to do 3,000,000 DPS on the Trision dummy. Many of you are well above this already. Our 50% damage dealer in this video for context dealt 2,000,000 DPS on the Trision dummy.

So practice mechanics and understanding of patterns rather than diving in head first. By focusing on understanding each pattern, your uptime will improve, and so will your damage. Do more with less.
