Lost World is an experience focused around bleak visuals and hardcore survival mechanics in a way that attempts to capture the look and feel of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series in Fallout 4. Everything from the music and audio to your starting arsenal to the combat difficulty has been adjusted to more closely resemble a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game. This experience also comes with its own ENB preset custom-tailored to capture the grim, desolate visual style of the series. So grab your backpack Stalker, and prepare to enter into a vision of the Commonwealth unlike anything you've ever experienced before. This experience also includes a performance profile for those on less powerful hardware. Please consider using that for a smoother but still consistently enjoyable experience if this applies to you.

In terms of specifics, the HUD is switched to a new sleek, minimalist preset with MCM settings saved to provide ease of use for ideal settings. All vanilla weapons are replaced with more modern, realistic weapons added alongside equipment and armor packs that fall more in line with STALKER apparel. Factions have been overhauled to appear more conventional and less...well, Fallout. New locations to explore and quests to complete. A brand new visual style revolving around the use of Polluted Climates to provide a constantly oppressive and grim-looking palette. Audio has been completely reworked for a more immersive and realistic experience (even including the iconic STALKER PDA sound for quest notifications). And then there's the gameplay...

Gameplay systems for Lost World have been significantly overhauled. Radiation is a constant threat that can kill you in seconds. Gas Masks of the Wasteland is used to provide a constant need for finding, maintaining, and replacing air filters for gas masks and provides a uniquely immersive visual overlay when wearing a mask. In terms of combat, it is harsh and unforgiving much like STALKER. In early levels it will be 2 or 3 shots for you or your enemies to go down. Damages are based on projectiles and ballistics that tie into real-life counterpart balancing. Certain injuries can introduce a bleeding effect that necessitates the use of specific medical items to treat before you bleed out and new animations are introduced for healing-related activities. Many vanilla creatures are replaced with less outlandish counterparts and every encounter will end up feeling like it may be your last. Vanilla survival systems are in place requiring you to keep on top of basic needs and there are campsite materials provided to allow you to catch your breath between all the chaos. Oh and uhh...No VATS. Because why not?
