Welcome to the boiling pot of the Rhogar, where men are still demons and fire rules the day. A castle built on love, trust, passion and a questionable state of mind and emotion.
I'm always happy when I've finished the first part, especially the part with the lava flow is rather tedious for me. The castle itself is really pretty, but the corridors are so small and labyrinthine. Either my character gets caught on some 2cm high stone edge or the camera goes on holiday in the wall. Besides, everything is very sneaky and malicious towards the player. Some enemies can only be attacked once they have seen the player, regardless of whether you know where they are. That's why I have no problems picking up enemies through the wall with AE spells. So the circle closes.
The boss itself here is not really worth mentioning, you rather think about what you could try on him and that's it... if it weren't for the constant crashes. The game crashes really annoy me in Lords of the Fallen. I don't see any bug fixes anywhere. It's a shame, it could have been a really good game.
Many people always say that Dark Souls would be no different with the difficulty. I disagree, Dark Souls is even harder in many places, but it was never unfair. I never had the feeling of being led around by the nose or being severely penalised for decisions. The quest and game design is based on bread and whip, but it has little bread and lots of whip to offer. Dark souls was much more balanced and you were rewarded more for courage and risk-taking. Lords of the Fallen is more annoying, the level of difficulty is more chaotic, the bugs are bigger and the camera is a horror.
