LP Chip's Challenge [1] (MS-DOS)
Chip's Challenge is a puzzle game which appeared on several platforms, but has its origins on the Atari Lynx. What we have here is the MS-DOS port from somewhere between that and the more popular Windows version, being played on a real 286. I'll admit that indecision played a part in this and by the time I was even close to making my mind up what to play, I was nearly out of time and figured this'd make for a nice easy going holdover.
With that said, Chip's is another example of something we've seen play out a few times this year, whereby a game doesn't need extensive mechanics or even the greatest visuals to work well. This is a game which had a clear goal and stuck to it with very convincing execution.
We won't be seeing this one weekly but we might check back in on Chip every month or so.
