My review of the PC game Heroes Of Might And Magic, developed by New World Computing and published by 3D0. For this review we go way back to 1995 and the first title in the Heroes Of Might And Magic series. This is where it all began...
The game may look basic, (but then it is 21 years old!) but is seriously tough with the enemy AI being extremely good even when at the lowest setting. The limitations of the somewhat basic first-time implementations of what became trademark Heroes features means that strategies that may work in all subsequent versions won't work for this game... so while I didn't recommend it in the video review, I might have been a bit hasty in saying so as this requires a real departure from tried-and-tested strategies for Heroes 2 to 7...
