Lukozer Retro Game Review 286 - Turbo Out Run - Arcade Coin-Op
24My review of the arcade coin-op game Turbo Out Run (or Turbo Outrun if you must), released by Sega in 1989. I've been asked something like a dozen times by John Gage to review this game... and I kept putting it off because I've never had any interest in this title at all thanks to me not being a fan of the original. While he wanted me to do the C64 conversion, i'm reviewing the arcade coin-op as it's the only version I can bear to sit through. This game's new features include things that were done in games released in 1978, things that appeared in the previous Sega Y-board release already (Super Hang-On) and things that have been removed from the original game (the split in the road and the choice of music)... oh and the tart who rides in the car with you is clearly such a shallow old slapper that she almost certainly comes from Romford. Not only am I not a fan of this game, I think it is EASILY worse than the original Out Run...
