Since I wasn't kidding... these videos are incredibly short with an absolute vengeance, I decided all the boys and girls out there could do with another piece of audiovisual candy.

I do want to take a moment to point out that I would be fairly reluctant to upload puzzle mode content rather than action-puzzle madness, but the way Lumines approaches this leaves an absurd amount of room for players to come up with their own solutions to the task, so I don't have to worry about spoiling anyone else's potential enjoyment of the very same scenario.

If anything, it perhaps gives the viewer a little more food for thought as they try to figure out what move I might be making or how it could possibly relate to the greater challenge at hand. Assuming that's not presuming a tad too much... but I can say at least for my own part that I'm constantly second-guessing and trying to figure out what I was thinking at the time I play any action puzzle game and then watch the resulting footage after the fact.

Because these early puzzles take place within a 3x3 set of spaces, there's not a particularly neat and tidy symmetrical progression of 2x2 game piece placements as a solution. It's a particular challenge when my first reaction is to try to build with things that will create neat-looking and tight formations.

Of course, to get around this, it's a relatively simple procedure of just matching together pieces in your upcoming queue that look like pieces of the target. That said, it's not a visually trivial exercise, so it does take a little bit of practice and pattern recognition.

I do want to take a moment to call attention to how amusing I find it that this skin used for puzzles has a rather loud and forceful command to "stop" vocalized if you hold the left or right directional button and then let it go.
