Lumines -- Puzzle Mode, A
Not that anyone should be able to notice, but I'm actually trying out posting this video publicly while I'm not actually available to do so. That is, I'm being sneaky and trying to get it to go live remotely.
That said, all my trickery is kinda rendered moot in that there apparently IS some kind of functionality that would've let me schedule it to go live on its own at some specific date and time... but it's only available to partners.
Now, technically, I know it's easier now than ever to be labeled a "partner" because YouTube now offers (and has for awhile) automated opt-in monetization options... but I would only want to have these kinds of perks of partnership, not the partnership itself. (Well, ideally, there shouldn't BE any partner-only-perks at all, but this is... well, it's YouTube we're talking about here.)
Oh, and I'm not some kind of mendicant on a vow of poverty for some higher or purer purpose... if I actually thought these videos consisted of enough original intellectual property or input on their own, I'd totally want to become some kind of sellout and do something that could strike up some supplemental income... probably mostly to buy more games (I have a "problem," okay?) and share more games and more insights more often, but I do totally recognize that this is hardly a self-sustaining hobby and that's perfectly fine by me, since what I'm doing now is more than worth it in self-satisfaction... and uh, I guess maybe any of you who somehow staggered onto this video page and others bearing my name might also get some kind of entertainment out of it... if you wanted to. For whatever reason, I suppose. (You weirdos!)
I will now wait for a moment for any to leave in disgust at my apparent materialistic preoccupation and/or having called them a "weirdo." (Almost certainly the latter.)
Okay, good? Good. Let's move on with only the money-conscious weird-and-proud-of-it remaining.
It's just that I'm acutely aware of (and perhaps wont to wax philosophic a bit too often) about how the precarious nature of copyrighted works, a complex beast like YouTube, and non-interactive media dedicated solely to the coverage thereof... and while I earnestly believe that I'm doing far more good than any alleged potential harm to the games I love so much, the games industry, and anybody who makes their living off of it or other ancillary industries... I also believe that there are certain litigious types among those "ancillary industries" who just might not feel the same way, even if only in theory and would like nothing more than to pull the plug on various YouTube pursuits not merely limited to the one in question.
About the only thing as things are that I could make a strong enough case for actually having truly created something of my own would be these descriptions, and I'm under no illusions that people actually pay attention to those even at a fraction of a rate of my slow-motion view counts... so... no selling out! And trying to do so would only put the real valuable "assets" in danger anyway. So no silly YouTube perks for me, and that's final! (Notice how I circumvented that anyway by posting this in spite of being out of town for pretty much the whole day?)
Man... I gotta stop using these spaces as personal (well, even more so than usual) soapboxes just because of how short the video content is and actually being able to enjoy excess description space for a change... ... ...nah~!

Puzzle 5: A
A... "a" what?! Don't keep me dangling in suspense! Somebody totally forgot to finish this puzzle's name! ... ... ...oh, the letter A. That's actually pretty nifty, I guess. It's kinda more visual than the patterns we started with, but I guess it's not quite so much shapely as the animal patterns I'd promised when they gave us the dog. (D'oh, I should've checked the progression more carefully, eh?)
That said, based on the running time for the video, I guess a familiar symbol like an alphabetic letter might take the best of both worlds in terms of patterned recognizability and semi-abstract creation.
Besides any of that... really, if you think about it, it just takes two lines out of the Small Square and two lines out of the Small Checker and puts them one on top of the other.
