NOTE: AS THE GAME PROGRESSED, I LEARNED THAT IT WOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME TO MEET MY ORIGINAL GOALS. SO THE "CLEAR" GOAL FOR THIS PLAYTHROUGH ENDED UP BEING THIS:

**Make it to Mirage Palace, then defeat Giant Kirby, Bowser (both battles), and the Seven Koopalings**

M Disk Gauntlet:

This series is dedicated to my challenges of games that meet the following criteria:

-Games related to Community Game-Along themes, hosted by me, apricotsushi, and capsulejay.
-Games celebrating their 30th anniversary.
-Or I will be challenged with a random set of games on the spot.

And now we get to the Community Game-Along inspired games. The first theme of the year is doujin games (#doujinuary)....but Japanese rom hacks count as well. So I'm playing what was considered one of the most popular hacks of Super Mario World. Famous for doing things that people didn't think were possible in a Super Mario World hack at the time. Custom bosses, custom graphics, custom music, custom level design gimmicks.....and yet, it was never finished.

Developed by user Carol, Super Kitiku (Brutal) Mario would be distributed throughout the years as demos. And for each demo released, there was more fame, recognition, and a lot more questions as to what the final game would be like. And yet, we never got that answer as Carol never finished this hack.

So for #doujinuary, I will revisit this classic hack, using the Thirteen1355 fan made (and fan translated) compilation, and will aim to defeat every accessible boss in the provided demos. Including THAT boss. IYKYK.

BTW, part 1's sound levels were very off throughout. I was experimenting with OBS Studio for the first time and wasn't aware of how everything sounded. So I did a bunch of "creative editing" to ensure that everything sounded "okay." To where you can hear me speak, AND where you can hear the music.
