M1 Mac Tutorial: Creating TOR Circuit using UTM
17Today we will create a Tor Circuit on M1 Mac using UTM and Debian Linux
** Download UTM **
https://mac.getutm.app/
** Download ARM Debian Linux image for UTM **
https://mac.getutm.app/gallery/debian-10-4-xfce
** Terminal Commands **
1. Install TOR: sudo apt install tor
2. Install MAC changer: sudo apt install tor macchanger secure-delete
3. Install Git-all: sudo apt install git-all
4. Clone Torctrl directory: git clone https://github.com/BlackArch/torctl
GO TO: cd torctl
6. Move the content of "service" and "completion" folders:
sudo mv service/* /etc/systemd/system/
sudo mv bash-completion/torctl /usr/share/bash-completion/completions/torctl
6. Edit the Input commands of the script:
sed -i 's/start_service iptables//' torctl
sed -i 's/TOR_UID="tor"/TOR_UID="debian-tor"/' torctl
7. Move the script that was edited:
sudo mv torctl /usr/bin/torctl
8. Remove the Torctrl script from original folder:
cd .. && rm -rf torctl/
9. Controlling Tor:
sudo torctl start
sudo torctl stop
