"Idk if yall had to read The Scarlet Letter in high school, but I remember talking with a classmate about the dynamic between Chillingworth and Dimmesdale and their toxic yaoi dynamic. Chillingworth was absolutely obsessed with Dimmesdale and obviously hated him, but was also so obsessed with him that it wasn't just plain old hatred. Like they knew each other intimately.
